Chapter 12: Enrolling Members
By The Founder on 15 October 2024

One of the most important aspects of ClubAssemble is helping clubs bring their members on board quickly and easily. For a club app to be truly effective, it has to be as simple and painless as possible for members to enrol and start using it. With that in mind, we introduced a new feature specifically designed to make the invitation process effortless for club administrators.

Within the Comms & Access section of the admin console, there’s now an “Invite Members” panel. From here, a club admin can generate a unique registration URL with a single click. This link can then be shared with members to allow them to register directly with the club.

To give clubs flexibility, each link can be configured with one of two behaviours:

  • Automatic Approval – any user who registers using this link is immediately approved as a member of the club.
  • Request Mode – registrations using the link automatically create a membership request, which the admin must review and approve.

Once generated, the registration link can be copied and pasted into any communication channel — from email newsletters to WhatsApp groups — with built-in shortcuts provided to launch your local mail client or preferred messaging platform.

From the member’s perspective, the process couldn’t be simpler: they receive the link, click it, and are taken straight to the registration page. Depending on the club’s settings, they’ll either be instantly enrolled or automatically placed into the approval queue.

For security and control, club admins can delete the invite URL at any time, instantly rendering it inactive. While it’s active, the dashboard provides a quick overview showing how many people have already used it to register — giving admins valuable insight into engagement and reach.

This feature brings flexibility, control, and simplicity to one of the most important steps in managing a club’s digital presence: onboarding new members efficiently and securely, using the channels clubs already rely on every day.
